Insulation Options

Vapor barrier insulation

This is installed under the metal and can be installed on the roof or sides. The most common (and we highly recommend) use is in the roof it keeps condensation from overnight temperature changes from dripping on you and whatever you have in your building. Also, by keeping the moisture off of the roof purlins it ultimately lengthens the life off your building.

3” Vinyl Back Fiberglass insulation

This is usually installed on the roof and walls of a building. It goes on under the metal and has a white vinyl backing that shows inside your building. It has an R9 rating so it gives you a decent insulation without breaking the bank.

Lined and Insulated

Insulating a pole barn this way is done after the building is built, the concrete is finished, and you have the electric roughed in. at that point we come back and install R19 Fiberglass batts in the walls put on 2×4 side girts and install 10 Yr. warranty metal. On the Ceiling we fasten the metal to the bottom of the truss, frame an attic access hole and then blow 10” of Cellulose insulation in the attic. This option gives the inside of your building a finished look while also insulating it well enough to condition economically.

Spray Foam Insulation

We currently do not offer this upgrade, it is a very effective, tight insulation. If you are thinking you will be spray foaming your building in the future we recommend installing house wrap under your metal so the insulation is not stuck to your metal in case you would ever need to change a piece.
